Jesper Ericsson
I am a highly motivated PhD student in
neurophysiology where I study how selection of motor programs is
performed in the brain. I am also a part-time project manager
at the Unit
for Bioentrepreneurship (UBE) at Karolinska Institutet, working with courses and seminars within the fields
of innovation and entrepreneurship. I am the course assistant
for the excellent Stockholm
School of Entrepreneurship course "From
Science to Business - Concepts in Biotechnology".
I
serve on a number of boards and committees at Karolinska Institutet,
among them the Graduate
Students' Association and the Recruitment Committee, working
for a strengthening of the postgraduate education in Sweden and
contributing to the development of the life science sector in Stockholm
and Sweden. I have also been engaged nationally in the board of SDok (Sveriges
doktorander).
Internationally I engage through the Biovision next
programme as a Biovision
next fellow of 2007.
Alongside my postgraduate education I am very interested in
entrepreneurship and economics and I am currently taking courses in
both subjects during evenings.
