Solutions for SDS-PAGE

Lower tris (4x)
90.85g tris Base, 4.8ml SDS 25% (or 2 g), up to 500ml water, pH 8.8

Upper tris (4x)
30.3g tris Base, 4.8ml SDS 25% (or 2 g), up to 500ml water, pH 6.8

Sample buffer, reducing (3x)
3ml Glycerol, 1.5ml betamercaptoethanol (2.12M), 0.9g SDS, Upper tris (4x) 3.75 ml, up to 10ml water, add bromphenolblue

Laemmli (Running buffer) (10x)
1440g Glycine, 100g SDS, 300g Tris base

Coomassie blue R-250 staining solution
Stock solution: 24g coomassie brilliant blue (Bio-Rad or Pierce), 600ml methanol, 120ml acetic acid. Stir minimum 2 hours, and preferably overnight. Store several month at room temrapture.
